
Who Owns Refco Remnant Assets?
Oak Point Partners, Inc. acquired the remnant assets of Refco Inc., et al. Bankruptcy Estate in February 2013.
On October 17, 2005, Refco Inc. and its related entities (“Refco”) filed a chapter 11 petition in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, assigned case No. 05-60006. Thereafter, Refco confirmed a joint chapter 11 plan and Plan Administrators were appointed to liquidate the estate’s assets. Oak Point Partners, Inc. acquired the remnant assets of Refco in February 2013.
