Who Owns HMX Acquisition Corp. Remnant Assets?
Oak Point Partners, Inc. acquired the remnant assets of the Liquidating Trust of the HMX Acquisition Corp., et al. Bankruptcy Estates (HMX) in September 2017.
On October 19, 2012, HMX and its affiliates filed voluntary petitions for relief under chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, jointly administered under Case No. 12-14300. On April 25, 2013, the Court entered an order confirming the Debtors’ Amended Joint Plan of Liquidation, pursuant to which the Trust was created and vested with the power and duty to administer the remaining assets of the Debtors. Oak Point Partners, Inc. acquired the remnant assets of the HMX Liquidating Trust in September 2017.
