On June 7, 2010, Colonial Brokerage, Inc. filed a chapter 7 petition in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Alabama, assigned case no. 10-31511. A chapter 7 trustee was appointed to liquidate the assets of Colonial Brokerage for the benefit of creditors. Oak Point Partners, Inc. acquired the remnant assets of Colonial Brokerage in October 2014.
