Eric Linn is the Founder and CEO of Oak Point Partners. He has served as Oak Point’s CEO since 2001, utilizing his extensive background to build Oak Point into the preeminent purchaser of Remnant Assets. Since pioneering the Remnant Asset concept, Oak Point has purchased the rights to the remaining known and unknown assets in over 900 bankruptcy cases including Borders Books, Collins and Aikman, LTV Steel, Mervyns, Movie Gallery, Pillowtex, Refco, Tower Records, and many more.
Prior to Oak Point, Eric was co-founder and CEO of an enterprise software business. Previously, Eric worked at TA Associates, one of the nation’s leading private equity firms. Eric began his career at investment bank Salomon Brothers, focusing on corporate finance and M&A work.
Outside of Oak Point, Eric is a seasoned investor and serves as an advisor and mentor to a wide variety of privately held businesses of various sizes, stages, and industries.
Eric graduated from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Magna Cum Laude, 1992. He is a member of Wharton’s Undergraduate Executive Board, Penn’s Undergraduate Financial Aid Leadership Council, and also serves as a business mentor in the Penn Wharton Entrepreneurship Mentor Program.
