On April 11, 2001, marchFIRST, Inc. filed a voluntary petition for Chapter 11 relief in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Thereafter, on April 25, 2001, the case was converted to Chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code and the case was transferred to the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois, assigned Case No. 01-24742. A trustee was then appointed to liquidate the remaining assets of the estate. Oak Point Partners, Inc. acquired the remnant assets of the marchFIRST, Inc. Bankruptcy Estate in October 2016.

marchFIRST also operated as CKS Group Inc, Mitchell Madison Consulting Group Inc, and USWeb Corporation.
The former headquarters of marchFIRST was located in Chicago, IL.
