Intermet Corporation and its related entities (“Intermet”) filed a second chapter 11 petition on August 12, 2008 in the District of Delaware (Case No. 08-11859). A Liquidating Plan was confirmed, which established a Liquidation Trust to administer certain assets of the estate. Oak Point Partners, Inc. acquired the remnant assets of the GUC Liquidating Trust in July 2014.
Intermet was a manufacturer and supplier of automotive cast components.
Intermet also operated as Columbus Foundries, Ganton Technologies, Lynchburg Foundry and Wagner Castings Company.
The former headquarters of Intermet was located in Fort Worth, TX.
