On October 4, 2002, E-Z Serve Convenience Stores, Inc. and its related entities (“E-Z Serve”) filed a chapter 11 petition in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of North Carolina, assigned case No. 02-83136. A plan was confirmed and a Trustee appointed to manage the bankruptcy estate. Oak Point Partners, Inc. acquired the remnant assets of the E-Z Serve Convenience Stores, Inc. Bankruptcy Estate in June 2013.
E-Z Serve was one of the largest privately owned and operated convenience store chains with over 400 locations.
E-Z Serve also operated as Country Cupboard, Majik Market, Swifty Stores, Timesaver Stores and TOC Retail.
The former headquarters of E-Z Serve was located in Durham, NC.
