On July 11, 2006, Brook Mays Music Company and its related entities (“Brook Mays Music”) filed a chapter 11 petition in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas, assigned Case No. 06-32816. The case was subsequently converted to a chapter 7 bankruptcy and a trustee was appointed to liquidate the estate’s assets. Oak Point Partners, Inc. acquired the remnant assets of Brook Mays Music in November 2010.
Brook Mays Music was a retailer of musical instruments, sheet music, and supplies for individuals and schools.
Brook Mays Music also operated under several trade names including H & H Music and Kurland-Salzman Music Co.
The former headquarters of Brook Mays Music was located in Santa Fe Springs, CA
