David has 20+ years of experience in principal investing. Prior to Oak Point, David was at McKinsey & Company and at CenterPost Communications. While at McKinsey, David had a unique arrangement whereby he took a 5-month leave of absence every year to play soccer professionally with the Chicago Stingers Professional Soccer Club.
While David’s late wife Jen was living with cancer for 7 years, the two of them created Cycle for Survival completely from scratch. It’s now the fastest growing athletic fundraiser in the country and has already raised more than $100 million, with 100% going directly into rare cancer research. David’s article about his 40th birthday, and especially Jen’s dance clip at the bottom of the article, inspired people around the country.
David holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School. He has a BA, with highest distinction, from Northwestern University, where he was captain of the Varsity Soccer Team.
David loves to travel and tries to visit at least one new country per year. Despite being surrounded by New York fans, David remains a diehard Chicago Blackhawks, Bulls, and Cubs fan.
